DTN COMMENTS: The country is slow to start this morning with bids still few
and far between. Asking prices are around $111 to $112 in the South, and
$180 in the North. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until
Thursday or later. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with light to
moderate box movement.
The Fed Cattle Exchange Auction today had a total of 768 head listed with 3
lots for Kansas, and 1 lot each for Texas and Nebraska. Asking prices were
at $111, but there were no takers again this week.
